Based in Rockingham, North Carolina, John Scott Wedemeyer is a retired Marine Corps Lieutenant Colonel, decorated combat aviator, and lifelong leader. After graduating from The Citadel in 1987, he embarked on an aviation career that saw him master the F/A-18 Hornet, complete five combat tours, and accumulate over 4,700 flight hours. John’s record includes top honors at Naval Flight School and advanced studies at the Naval Postgraduate School. His distinguished service has been recognized with the Meritorious Service Medal, Air Medals with Combat “V,” and multiple Navy and Marine Corps Commendation Medals. Today, he remains active in aviation while pursuing his passions for golf, fishing, and mentoring the next generation of leaders.
